Raw Honey Plays Well With Others

Raw Honey Treatments for Damaged and Dry Hair

Raw Honey by itself is too sticky to just be applied to your hair. But if you add it to apple cider vinegar, olive oil, coconut oil, it can add moisture and shine to your hair. Raw Honey naturally attracts moisture and feeds hair follicles with nutrients and antioxidants.

Here are four (4) raw honey based recipes you can try to help restore your hair to its naturally moisturised state.


 1 Raw Honey with Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar acts as a natural conditioner and gives your hair a lovely shine.
You will need:

  • 10 tsp of apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup of raw honey

Preparation:

Mix raw honey with the vinegar. Apply the mixture the same way you would apply shampoo to moist hair, and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then rinse it all out with warm water.

 2 Raw Honey and Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is full of nutrients and helps to moisturise hair roots and hair.

You will need:

  • 3 tsp of warmed coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of raw honey

Preparation:

Mix raw honey with the coconut oil and blend them rigorously. Apply the mixture into damp hair the same way you would apply shampoo. After 10 minutes, rinse it out with warm water.

3 Raw Honey and Olive Oil

Olive oil helps to coat and smooth damaged and dry hair shafts, and it can make massively help moisture after only a few uses.

You will need:

  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of raw honey

Preparation:

Mix the raw honey and olive oil, and warm the mixture a little if you feel it’s necessary. Apply it over your hair and leave it for 30 minutes, then rinse it out with warm water.

 4 Raw Honey Only

Raw honey alone can be enough if you use it right.

You will need:

  • Fresh water
  • 1/4 cup of raw honey

Preparation:

Mix raw honey and water until the water thins out honey to the point where you can spread the mixture around your hair. Apply the mixture on your damp hair and leave it for 30 minutes, then rinse it out with warm water.
